BOGOTA VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT
Volunteers, Proudly Serving the Community Since 1901

From the Desk of Chief Adam Schaeffer

It is truly an honor to serve as this year's Chief of the Bogota Volunteer Fire Department. Like most volunteer departments across the country, the Bogota Fire Department faces new challenges each day to provide efficient and effective services to our community.
As the Fire Chief of Bogota Fire Department, I lead a group of highly trained, caring, and compassionate men and woman who volunteer to serve the interests of our community. This is exhibited through our quick response to emergency calls along with our extensive community outreach. The members of the Bogota Volunteer Fire Department are proud of their service to the community, and we all appreciate the support to community has shown us through the years.
While each of our volunteers commit countless hours in service to the community, we always welcome new volunteers who want to serve as a volunteer firefighter. Once you pass a probationary period, the Borough of Bogota covers the cost of your firefighter training at the Bergen County Fire Academy in Mahwah. Serving on the fire department is a great way to "give back" to the community.
If you are interested in joining us, or if you are unsure but would like some additional information, feel free to send me an email and I will be sure to get back to you quickly.
Thank you all for you continued support of the Bogota Volunteer Fire Department, and all the emergency service organizations who serve our community.
Be safe!
Adam Schaeffer
